
Samuel Dickison, 87, of Brazil, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 and went to Heaven to be with his Sweet Betty. Sam was born in Irondale, OH to the late Abraham & Ethel Dickison. Immediately after high school graduation Sam enlisted in the US Army. Sam was employed by CBS Records in Terre Haute. He is preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers.
Survivors include: sister, Virginia Timberman; daughter, Debbie (John) McGroarty; grandson, Matthew (Sarah) McGroarty; stepson, Buddy (Sam) Carroll; stepdaughter, Hettie Dixon; grandchildren, Floyd Carroll & Stacy (Jack) Spruill; and numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Sam is also survived by a very close extended family member, Carol Martin Holbert, and her husband, Keith; and sons, Jarrad & Ethan.
A special thanks to Carol who has been a continuous care giver to Sam, we can never thank her enough; you’ve been his Angel. Special thanks also goes to Exceptional Care Center of Brazil, who took care of Sam the last few years.
Sam will be laid to rest alongside of his family in Summit Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
